Cosplay Collection - Studio Ghibli

We are a Ghibli loving bunch here at Trinity Element. (There is even a black cat named Jiji among our furry family.) So it is only natural to devote our very first Cosplay Collection to those inspired by the Japanese animation studio we all adore.

Incredible studio ghibli cosplay, kiki, kiki's delivery service, luna naruse

This Kiki costume from Kiki's Delivery Service is just one of many awesome projects from cosplayer Luna Naruse. Extra credit for the flying pose!

incredible studio ghibli cosplay, trinity element, howl, howl's moving castle, xeru

Xeru's Howl from Howl's Moving Castle is wonderfully realistic. You could almost picture Howl being created after looking at him and not the other way around.

incredible studio ghibli cosplay, trinity element, sea goddess, ponyo, arlo-arleh

Arlo-arleh's Sea Goddess from Ponyo comes alive in this incredible underwater scene.
(Underwater scenes always make me want to take a REALLY deep breath.)

Dustbunny

This dress with a Victorian flair shows that you don't have to look exactly like the character you are portraying for people to immediately know who you are representing. Dustbunny's Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro is perfect. The soot sprites in the crinoline are such a creative touch!

thirdstop

If you are going to be a very tiny person, you need to pose with some very big leaves. With the addition of wonderful props, cosplayer thirdstop turned a fairly simple dress into the perfect Arrietty from The Secret World of Arrietty. The giant hair clip is my favorite touch.

roxyrockstv

The details in this costume (that mask!) make roxyrockstv's Princess Mononoke wonderfully realistic. All she needs is the giant white wolf. (I wonder if Jon Snow would be willing to lend her Ghost?)

Heki-chan

This Haku from Spirited Away technically falls into the line of a prop and not a costume, but it is far too amazing not to share!  Click on Heki-chan's link to see a full length photo of this incredible creature.

That's our list for this week's Cosplay Collection. Do you feel we missed out of some of the Ghibli goodness? If so, let us know in the comments below.

Welcome!

Trinity Element - who we are, what we do...

Trinity Element is a family business dedicated to providing costuming supplies to lovers of Cosplay, LARP, Steampunk, Renaissance Faires, and any other place that encourages dressing up and having fun. (Or if you just enjoy dressing up as Harry Potter while grocery shopping, we are all for that too!)

Our store, TrinityElement.com, is new. Since we are a baby in the business we are starting off small. But hopefully with the suggestions of our customers we will grow and provide everything needed to concoct that perfect creation.
